About Me
Frost, a multifaceted artist draws inspiration from the natural world.
Her works are a visual expression of her life-long passion for exploration and inquiry driven by wonderment and a joie de vivre.
Growing up in the Southwest of England, Frost was greatly influenced by nature and the sea. She attributes her resourcefulness and belief in infinite possibility to her time spent diving for treasures in the ocean and working in the construction industry.
Frost creates works across all scale, dimension, and form. From maquette to massive, from painting to sculpture, from print making to illustration, her style is unpredictable, but her process is constant.
Described as an alchemist of sorts, she uses raw and unconventional materials in her work to extract and portray the innate riches that exist not only in the extraordinary, but also in the mundane.
Patterns fascinate Frost. Her observations of their predictability, order and rhythm inspire her creativity, and feed her creative flow. Her artwork comes from a deep connection to self, a place she trusts, a place she found as child and vowed never to lose.
Her work is the bounty, it is anchored here, deeply in her roots. Allowing her freedom to seek alternate possibility, explore new horizons, and push the boundaries of her craft.
Frost is currently exploring transferring her sculptural concepts into silver jewellery / sculpture.
‘I feel my work transfers seamlessly from sculpture to jewellery as scale and proportion are fundamental to my process. I draw inspiration from my artistic hero Picasso, who worked joyously across all mediums.’
