A true pioneer, she instinctively works big. Seeing beauty in the mundane Frost is a skilled artisan who uses a variety of mediums to extract and reveal. She believes that every raw material holds within itself a treasure, a story that yearns to be told, and her purpose is to tell it.
FROST CHALLENGES THE CONVENTIONAL
Internationally renowned, Frost challenges the conventional. Her foundation training in fine art provides her with the skills and wonderment for a lifelong exploration in her field. She explains her journey to date akin to an athletes journey, whereby she consistently returns to exercising her ‘artistic muscles’ through ‘life drawing’ and close observation of the human form to anchor and ground her practise.

Frost draws inspiration from the wabi sabi affirmation, ‘Nothing lasts. Nothing is finished. Nothing is perfect’. Words that allow freedom outside of man-made confines. Words that elicit flow and reconnection to the natural rhythms. Her work is not a statement, it is a narrative of her inquiry through life. This is her gift, showcased within her works.
